COVID-19: Moldexpo will be transformed into a hospital
The Moldexpo International Exhibition Center will be transformed into a hospital for patients. This was announced by Prime Minister Ion Chicu after the meeting of the Single Command Center for crisis management caused by the COVID-19.
“We talked about a hospital. This hospital will be at Moldexpo. The specialists evaluated the situation on the spot, by Wednesday there will be this hospital there, there will be 700 beds. There are five thousand square meters, there are capacities to ensure privacy, elements that separate the patients, there is good ventilation system there, so this space meets the needs of a hospital. By Wednesday evening, maximum Thursday, this medical unit will be ready”, said the prime minister.
According to the data presented by Ion Chicu, 246 samples were taken during 24 hours, there are 32 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, one from Bulgaria and 31 local ones.
In all, in our country there are 263 cases confirmed by COVID-19. 13 people were treated and discharged, and 250 are now in hospitals.
