Out of three billion lei, confiscated by ARBI, half refer to bank fraud files

The Agency for the Recovery of Criminal Assets (ARBI) has confiscated assets worth about three billion lei so far, in the process of investigating and recovering the criminal assets. Half of this amount - about 1.5 billion lei - is money sequestered in the files aimed at bank fraud, reports Moldova 1.

The information was unveiled by the head of the National Anticorruption Center, Ruslan Flocea, during a meeting with the representative of the International Monetary Fund in our country, Volodymyr Tulin. The IMF official said that the international institution would continue to support the Moldovan authorities in the identification, repatriation and recovery of the financial means misappropriated from the banking system.

At the same time, according to the CNA, the activity of the Agency for the Recovery of Criminal Assets could become more efficient after the implementation of an automated information system that will enable the recovery processes to be activated.
