Two people died in a fire in Chisinau

Two people died in a fire that happened on February 14 evening in the basement of the block of flats on Branistii str. in Chisinau.

Firefighters were asked to intervene at 16:53. There were two firefighting vehicles on site and the firefighters found that old things and garbage were burning in the basement. The rescuers managed to extinguish the fire.

In the firefighting process, the firemen found the bodies of two men whose identity is to be established.

Circumstances and the cause of the fire are to be investigated.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, in the last 24 hours rescuers and firefighters intervened in 17 risk situations.
