Embassy of Slovak Republic in Chisinau helps to buy medical equipment for hospitals in Chisinau

Ten video laryngoscopes for the intubation of Coronavirus patients in serious health condition and ten pumps for the exact dosing of medicines were purchased from a financial aid provided by the Slovak Embassy in the Republic of Moldova. The medical equipment was bought from the sum of 50 thousand euros, offered by the Embassy of Slovak Republic in Chisinau for the prevention and fight against COVID-19 infection, reports Mesager.

A sum of 37 thousand euros was spent in this regard. The rest of the money will be used to purchase 5,000 disposable gowns. The medical devices will be distributed in the intensive care units of the municipal hospitals, where Coronavirus patients are treated.

"They will go to the institutions you manage. As far as I understand, there are several cases of increased severity today, respectively, these aids are on time.  13 thousand euros will be used to buy disposable gowns and these will be distributed to the institutions you manage ", said the general mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban.

"It is not the only donation of both economic agents and individuals and non-governmental organizations, which permanently take care of our municipal institutions, come with that much-needed support during this period of COVID-19," said Tatiana Bucearschi, head of the Chisinau Social Assistance Department.
