Haric Fire arrives in Chisinau on Saturday evening

11 servants of the Moldovan Orthodox Church, accompanied by parishioners, will travel on Easter Friday to the old city of Jerusalem to bring Haric Fire. According to the Metropolitan's secretary, Vadim Cheibaş, the holy light is to be lit, according to tradition, at the tomb of the Savior, on April 27, around 14:00, reports Moldova 1.

Thus, on Saturday evening, on the eve of Easter, Haric Fire will be brought in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral "Nativity of the Lord" in the capital.

The Holy Light will be divided into priests and believers who will spread it throughout the country. And this year, transport to Jerusalem will be provided by an airline, and the other expenses for food and accommodation will be borne by each member of the delegation.

"On the twenty-sixth, the High Metropolitan Priest will travel to the city of Jerusalem by air. This year, there are 11 people in the delegation, they are ministers of Orthodox churches in Moldova, accompanied by parishioners and benefactors of our church. This tradition we have already taken for 17 years in the Republic of Moldova. Traditional Haric Fire descends into the church over the saint's tomb at about 14 o'clock, so on the 27th of this year and approximately later at 19:30 or 20:00 with God’s help it will come to Chisinau," Vadim Cheibaş, Secretary of the Metropolitan of Moldova, said.
