There are over 19,000 foreign citizens in the Republic of Moldova
In the Republic of Moldova, there are over 19 thousand foreign citizens, almost half of them come to us to start a family. The statement was made by the Director of the Migration and Asylum Bureau, Olga Poalelungi, within Radio Moldova's “Room for Dialogue” show.
"Most of them come from friendly countries or known to us by tradition, culture, faith. The majority come from Ukraine, the Russian Federation, but we also have many people from Turkey, Italy Israel, USA, Great Britain and Ireland. In large part, this influx of foreigners is generated by the mixed marriages that have taken place with Moldovan migrants in the respective countries," said Director of the Migration and Asylum Bureau, Olga Poalelungi.
