Ion Ceban, about the intervention of the municipal services following the rains
In the context of heavy rain on Saturday night, the mayor of the capital, Ion Ceban, says that the specialized municipal services should intervene more promptly, and those from Exdrupo, if they do not have enough equipment to be mobilized in such situations, then to be contracted additional from private companies, reports Moldova 1.
"We had a team of four boys. They checked all areas at high risk of flooding, cleaned the receivers in these areas. Already yesterday, during the day, we had four trucks that swept the areas where gravel was brought and the catchment holes. On Sunday night to Monday, four trucks intervened again. Already today, we intervene in areas where it failed on weekends. Until tomorrow, we will clean all the receivers," said the administrator of Exdrupo, Sergiu Tomiţă.
"We reacted promptly, operationally, but I think we need to be much better in terms of construction, repair on construction sites, especially on networks, in some cases even roads or sidewalks. If we do not improve the quality of the works here, we will have such situations in the future. According to meteorologists, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow are very high risk areas with extremely high flow, torrential rains, strong wind," said the mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban.
TRM.MD recalls that during the rains of last weekend, there were landslides on certain parts of the road where utility works are being carried out. At the same time, there were tree falls on the power lines, and the people of Chisinau complained that some catchment holes were blocked by the pebbles used to repair the streets.
