Modernization works are taking place at the Zoo

Not only humans, but also bears, lions, tigers and parrots are quarantined. While most people are isolated in the house, the caretakers at the Zoo take advantage of the period when visitors do not have access to the Zoo to upgrade it. Some animals will be transferred to more spacious locations. The administration of the Zoological Garden intends to arrange cages for bears by the end of the quarantine period, reports Moldova 1.

Now, the bears are sitting in a cage of 30 square meters. Their new home will have a total area of 6000 square meters.

"Now we are working more on the arrangement of the cages, the access roads, now the bears' cage is finished. The bears are going to be moved after their yard is finished, the winter cage was drawn in a very unusual style,” said Olga Iuzvac, head of strategic planning.

The wolves will be moved to a more spacious cage, and the space they are staying in now will be used for other animals.

Zoo family of animals was increased by two young mouflon.

The zoo will be reopened after the cancellation of the emergency. In total, there live over a thousand animals, representing 160 species.
