Several streets in the capital will be repaired to cope with heavy rains

Several streets in the capital will be repaired and arranged to cope with heavy rains, as several catchments do not cope with the large volume of water. This was stated by the local authorities, who discussed the issue at the operative meeting this morning. According to the mayor of the capital, Ion Ceban, there is no rainwater system in the upper part of the city, Moldova 1 reports.

"We work on the catchment holes, on the sewer pipes, but we don't always deal with the large volume of water. In some cases there is really a problem that it has not been cleaned for years and I said that there is an intervention plan. These sewers simply do not exist in the upper part of the city, and all the water comes to the down part, and the latter fail to cope," said Ion Ceban.

The municipal authorities mentioned that, following the weekend rains, on several streets in the city they intervened to clean the roadway and sidewalks from mud.
