Several drivers sanctioned for illicit transportation of persons
Following the inspections carried out in mid-April of this year, in the area of the Central Bus Station regarding the measures to prevent and combat the illegal transport of persons by road, in the direction of Bălţi, Tiraspol and Soroca, the competent bodies sanctioned several drivers, reports Radio Moldova.
The verifications resulted from meetings convened at the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure with the representatives of the National Auto Transport Agency, the National Patrol Inspectorate, the State Tax Service and the Chisinau City Hall.
As a result of the inspections carried out, 4 minutes were drafted regarding the road transport of people for the road cost with road vehicles built and equipped with less than 9 seats, including the driver's seat, without being registered under the Road Transport Code.
The fines were applied in the amount of 800 contravention units, with the suspension of the right to use the road vehicle for a period of six months.
The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure urges travelers to opt only for the services of transport companies providing services under the conditions of the legal framework.
