Increased measures for the safety of students in traffic

Increased measures for the safety of students in traffic. Around schools and kindergartens road traffic will be intensively monitored and more artificial bumps will be installed. Moreover, drivers could be forced to travel around schools with only 30 km / h. The measures were analyzed at the National Council for the Protection of the Rights of the Child, reports Moldova 1.

"The Council calls on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to intensify the activities of road traffic monitoring in the adjacent educational establishments during peak hours, the Council requests the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Education to set up a working group to develop proposals to promote the presence of reflective elements on visible parts of children's clothing sold on the territory of the Republic of Moldova,” declared the Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Viorica Dumbrăveanu.

People say that pedestrian crossings around educational institutions do not give children complete safety.

According to the police, last year, there were more than 2,500 road accidents in which 270 people died, including 17 minors. Another 3,000 people had various traumas.
