Modern diagnostic methods at the Municipal Clinical Hospital no. 1

Modern diagnostic methods at the Municipal Clinical Hospital no. 1. The institution shall procure a high-performance ultrasonography apparatus with the support of the Government of Japan, which grants in this respect over $57,000. The agreement that implies the improvement of medical services in the Republic of Moldova was signed today, reports Moldova 1.

In the imaging section of the Municipal Clinical Hospital no. 1, in the capital, about 20 children are examined every day. The only ultrasound operating device was purchased ten years ago. Doctors say they need a modern equipment to establish a correct diagnosis.

The non-reimbursable financial assistance is provided through the Human Security Grants Program.

"The hospital has become the 65th beneficiary of this program," said Japan's Ambassador to Moldova, Masanobu Yoshii.

"This project has contributed enormously to the strengthening of the public health system with appropriate medical equipment," said the Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Viorica Dumbrăveanu.

"Any initiative of this kind taken to the end is very important. To the great regret, it is far from facing all the challenges we have at the level of educational institutions, health centers,” said the mayor of the capital, Ion Ceban.

Annually, at the Municipal Clinical Hospital no. 1, ten thousand children are treated, of whom seven thousand are hospitalized, and three thousand consulted in the Urgent Receiving Unit.
