Disagreements between employees and employers could be resolved amicably

Employees and employers could solve individual labor disputes without going to court. The National Trade Union Confederation proposes the creation of commissions for the settlement of misunderstandings. The procedure will be simplified, and as a result money and time will be saved, reports Moldova 1.

It is proposed that the dispute be resolved by the commission within a maximum of 30 working days from the date of registration of the application. However, if one of the parties involved does not agree with the commission's decision, it may be challenged in court.

“We propose that a simplified mechanism for resolving individual labor disputes should be created as at our colleagues in Lithuania. What would that mean? It would mean that at territorial level, where we have territorial labor inspections, three-member commissions will be created: a representative of the State Inspectorate of Labor, a representative of the unions, and a representative of the employers',” says Eugeniu Covrig, head of the CNSM Legal Department.

The proposal of the National Trade Union Confederation is at the Ministry of Justice.
