New cases of measles in Chisinau
Eight new cases of measles were recorded in Chisinau. According to the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP), all patients are members of a family belonging to a confession and who have recently returned from Craiova (Romania). The children in that family were not vaccinated, Moldova 1 reports.
Two other suspected cases of measles were recorded in a child from Anenii Noi district and an adult from Chisinau, who recently returned from sports competitions held in Dubai.
Cases are under investigation. According to the ANSP data, the number of cases of measles registered in the Republic of Moldova reached 357, out of which 341 in 2018. Epidemiologists recall that immunization is the only prevention solution.
