The number of unemployed is increasing

The number of unemployed is increasing. In last December alone, over 4,000 people were registered with the National Agency for Employment (ANOFM) with unemployment status. At the same time, people claim that the number of unemployed is increasing due to the fact that the work is not remunerated properly, reports Moldova 1.

"It's quite complicated, because there are many problems related to the remuneration and working conditions. The boss always wants a young and experienced worker, so it's quite complicated." "I think it's complicated, especially for those who do not have higher education, who have no experience, because this is required in the first place." "It is very difficult to find a normal job now, because the salaries are very low," people say.

If, at the beginning of last year, the number of unemployed constituted almost 19,000 people, at the end of 2019, it was 31,000.

"The problem is that often these unemployed people are not registered in the territorial subdivisions of employment, often their profiles or occupations do not correspond to the vacancies that are declared by the economic agents, that is why it is very difficult for them to fit in, to find a job. At the recommendation of our specialists they go to training courses or re-qualify for another job," said Marcela Ganea, head of the Monitoring Service at ANOFM.

According to the Agency, last year, more than 11,000 unemployed found a job. Since 1 January 2020, about 35,000 vacancies have been registered.
