Employee of the Ministry of Health dies of COVID-19
The main consultant within the Policy Service of medical and social staff management, Lilia Bantaş died of COVID-19 infection. This was announced by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS).
"With deep regret, the team of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection conveys sincere condolences and compassion to family and friends, in connection with the death of Mrs. Lilia Bantaş", reads the message.
Lilia Bantaş was born in 1957. She graduated from the Institute of Commerce and Economics in Lviv, Ukraine.
"She started her activity within the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection in 2001 and contributed to the elaboration and promotion of state policies in the field of organization and remuneration of employees' work. Mrs. Lilia Bantaş will remain in our memory as a professional and devoted collaborator, a bright woman, with a smile on her face and a rare kindness ", reads the message of the MSMPS.
According to official data, 52,029 people were infected with coronavirus.
