People informed by rescuers about preventive measures against COVID-19
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) continues to inform the population about the need to comply with the protection rules against COVID-19. The prevention activity carried out by IGSU in all regions of the Republic of Moldova aims to prevent the spread of the epidemic by constantly informing the citizens.
Thus, during the current week, the prevention actions took place in the localities from Donduşeni, Edineţ, Căuşeni, Călăraşi Cimişlia and UTA Găgăuzia districts. Rescuers broadcast security messages through the sound system, warning citizens about the risks of infection with the new Coronavirus.
Rescuers handed people informative leaflets on essential measures that could prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection and urged people to avoid crowds, contact with people with flu or cold symptoms.
At the same time, people were asked to cover their noses and mouths when sneezing, as well as to wash their hands with soap and water as often as possible or to use alcohol-based disinfectants for hygiene.
The rescuers also talked about the importance of wearing protective masks in public transport and closed public places, but also about respecting the social distance of at least one meter.
In total, more than 15 IGSU employees with ten technical units were involved in the recent information activities. Similar actions undertaken by rescuers and firefighters in all districts of the country are organized in support of the Campaign launched by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection with the slogan "Be careful, stop the spread of COVID-19, save lives."
