10 new trolleybuses will run on the capital’s streets
10 new trolleybuses, currently assembled by employees of the municipal enterprise "Regia Transport Electric Chisinau" (RTEC), will run on the capital's streets. The means of transport were brought to Chisinau a week ago, reports Radio Moldova News.
The new trolleybuses have a 30-km autonomy, which means that the testing process will last longer. For the time being, it has not been decided on which routes the new trolleybuses will run. The total cost of the five autonomous trolleybuses is 1.2 million euros, and a classic trolleybus costs 150 thousand euros.
At present, there are 310 trolleybuses in the streets of Chisinau, of which 80 are old.
