Over 120 kindergartens in Chisinau stop their activity as of June 3

Kindergartens in Chisinau will activate in a special regime between June and August 2019 in terms of diminishing the number of functional kindergartens. Thus, starting with June 3, in 123 kindergartens out of the total of 159, the activity will be suspended, Chisinau City Hall informs.

Parents will send their children to other kindergarten located nearby, if the kindergarten they used to go is closed during summer period. They have to write a request to the kindergarten without the need to motivate it.

The measure taken by the local public authorities comes as a result of the reduction of the number of children in kindergartens in summer , the shortage of the employees in the food blocks of the institutions, the increase in the duration of the work program of the staff (12 hours) due to the holidays of certain employees, the organization of the repair works on summer time etc.

Information on the activity program of early education institutions will be placed on the website of the Directorate-General for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, as well as on the websites of the Sectoral Education Directorates.
