Over 17 tons of Moldovan strawberries banned in Russia
The Rosselhoznadzor Division in the Breansk region banned the import to Russia of over 17 tons of strawberries from Moldova to reach the Moscow markets, reported the press service of the federal phytosanitary and veterinary service.
The goods were about to reach a warehouse in the Moscow region. Specialists found traces of a harmful bacterium - Frankliniella occidentalis Perg.
"In order to prevent the entry and spread of this dangerous bacteria, the strawberries returned to the sender," reads the press release.
