Over 36,000 diabetic patients received free glucose meters
Over 36,000 diabetic patients received free glucose meters. The devices were distributed via "Poşta Moldovei" to the beneficiaries from districts of Cahul, Leova, Comrat, Ştefan Vodă, Căuşeni, Ungheni, Teleneşti, Anenii Noi, Falesti, Singerei and Drochia, reports Moldova 1.
The action was launched by the National Health Insurance Company in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection. In total, approximately 100,000 medical devices will be provided free of charge.
In Moldova, there are almost 100,000 diabetic patients, of whom about 19,000 are insulin dependent.
