Over 6 thousand people in prisons in Moldova
About 6718 people are currently being held in prisons in Moldova. The data were presented by the National Administration of Penitentiaries, which showed that last week 60 people were released, 62 - detained and placed in the isolation of criminal prosecution and 1039 people involved in voluntary work.
According to the plan of the activities of education and psycho-social assistance, the detained persons benefited from 190 educational hours, based on the behavioral change and schooling programs. The presence of the beneficiaries in the educational and psycho-social programs was 2698 persons.
Also, due to health reasons, 43 detainees from 13 penitentiary institutions were taken to the hospital of the penitentiary Pruncul, while 11 calls were made to 112, for emergency medical assistance.
In order to counteract the penetration of the prohibited objects in the penitentiaries, following the searches, at the control and crossing points, the employees of the penitentiary administration system have detected: 2 mobile phones and several accessories. The detained civilians were handed over to the police.
