Over two million Moldovans benefited from the liberalized visa regime with the EU
Over two million Moldovans have benefited from the liberalized visa regime with the EU. In the last five years, the number of crossings over the western border of Moldova has exceeded six million. State Secretary for European Integration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Daniela Morari, says Moldova is out of the danger of suspending the liberalized visa regime with the EU, reports Moldova 1 TV.
According to her, this results from the last two reports of the European Commission.
Also, the representatives of the Border Police say that the number of biometric passports issued to Moldovan citizens is constantly increasing. The EU lifted the visa regime for citizens of the Republic of Moldova on 28 April 2014.
