Over eight thousand citizens repatriated to Moldova

Over eight thousand citizens from several countries have been repatriated to Moldova by April 9, announces the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE).

“Following the restrictive travel measures imposed by other states in order to combat the spread of COVID 19, the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Moldova carried out 94 repatriation missions, 29 by air and 65 by land. As a result, 8061 moldovan citizens were repatriated”, reads a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Also, MAIEIE warns that the following charter flights were approved for the period April 13-18:

Rome - Chisinau; Amsterdam - Chisinau; Venice - Chisinau; Paris - Chisinau; London - Chisinau; Berlin - Chisinau.

We remind that starting with 29.03.2020, citizens can sign up for waiting lists for repatriation flights, by accessing the websites of the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Moldova. Each charter flight can be performed only after it has been authorized by the National Commission for Emergency Situations.
