Poland provides humanitarian aid to hospitals in the Republic of Moldova

A new humanitarian aid for the Republic of Moldova. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland provided 37 oxygen concentrators to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova. Oxygen concentrators, worth €23,500, are part of the third batch of medical equipment donated from the "Emergency Fund" of Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova. This donation was made possible due to the effective partnership with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova, reports Moldova 1.

"It is, once again, a proof that the Republic of Moldova is a very important country for us. Today, we have the third donation. I have talked to my colleagues in Warsaw and it is possible that we will come with at least one more lot. We hope that all this effort will also contribute to the prosperity of the people of the Republic of Moldova," said the Polish Ambassador to Moldova, Bartolomiej Zdaniuc.

"These concentrators are distributed in districts throughout the Republic of Moldova. 30 medical institutions from the north, from the south of the country, already received these oxygen concentrators yesterday or this morning and for us this is just as important and good that they are already working and can help where they need to,” said the director of the Center of Information for Local Authorities, Tomasz Horbowski.

"They come to the aid of the medical system precisely in difficult times and in this way we express our gratitude to the Polish people for the assistance provided to us and, in fact, for all the support and cooperation, openness we have had during this period and not only," mentioned the Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Viorica Dumbrăveanu.

In early March, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched an emergency fund worth €50,000 for our country. The money was directed for the purchase of medical and protection equipment, but also for supporting local entrepreneurs in reshaping activities.
