Prime Minister Ion Chicu presented the activity report in front of the press

He did not have the opportunity to present the 100-day report in front of the deputies, but presented it to the press. Prime Minister Ion Chicu spoke about the reform of justice, attracting foreign investments in the field of infrastructure and about returning to more social programs, Moldova 1 reports.

"We have reached an agreement with the IMF and in March 2020 we will receive a new tranche of $20 million. At the end of 2019, we managed to approve the fiscal budgetary policy and the annual budgets, in fact fulfilling one of the main tasks that we have proposed as Government. The tax applied to donations was reduced from 12 to 6 percent, the maximum ceiling for meal tickets being increased. The salary classes for teachers and educators, cultural staff, auxiliaries, the public dignity function at the local level were increased, also the annual award was restored,” stated Ion Chicu.

The PM also spoke about the infrastructure projects that will be carried out in the near future.

"Only for the road infrastructure this year, over 7 billion lei are planned, competitions have already been launched for the reconstruction of several national sectors. Soon we will come to the Parliament with a project to rectify the state budget through which we will increase even more investment part of the budget, for the repair of roads in localities will be allocated additional means in the amount of 1 million lei. We will propose to increase the allocations for water supply and sewerage infrastructure,” added the Prime Minister.

The head of the executive also said that he wanted to urge the deputies to a common activity, for the benefit of the citizens.

"I wanted to once again urge the deputies to do everything possible to strengthen our society, to bring together to the Moldovans self-confidence and in tomorrow. My colleagues in the Government believe that this can be done. Things in Moldova can change for the better and we are ready to work for it.”
