The first measles case this year was registered with a child from Chisinau municipality
The first measles case this year was registered with a child from Chisinau municipality. Diagnosis was confirmed by laboratory tests, TV Moldova 1 reports.
As stated by the National Agency for Public Health, the child would have become ill after going on a trip to Ukraine. Last year, 340 cases of measles were recorded. Most were in Ceadâr-Lunga, Vulcăneşti and Soroca districts. The majority of patients were not vaccinated. The authorities warn that the yellow code on the risk of measles spreading is in place in our country.
