Teachers from the Technical University of Moldova donate money to battle coronavirus
The teachers from the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) donated from their salaries, 150 thousand lei, money to be directed to the sorting center for patients with symptoms of COVID-19, reports Moldova 1 TV.
According to the rector of UTM Viorel Bostan, the money was donated for the purchase of medical equipment and consumables.
"I know that the students together with the teachers were and are involved to make protective equipment, the gesture of UTM with visors is very nice. I want to thank the residents of Chisinau municipality, the doctors who are going to receive patients”, said the mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban.
So far, UTM has implemented several support actions for doctors fighting coronavirus, including making medical masks and visors and collecting ski goggles to adapt the needs of personal protective equipment for medical staff.
