Special Parliament Day Program

Moldovan Parliament opens its doors on May 23, when its day is celebrated. On this occasion, the public will have the opportunity to visit the institution under a special program.

According to a press release from the Legislature, the first visitors are expected at 10:00. Guided tours will be organized for visitors at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00. Access to the building will be done on the basis of the identity card without the need for prior programming.

The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova organizes guided tours for all who want to visit the institution and learn about the legislative process. Annually, Parliament is visited on average by 7,000 people. The visit program was launched in 2014, and so far over 32,000 people have visited it.

Parliamentary Day is celebrated on May 23, when in 1991, according to the decision of the Supreme Soviet of the 12th Legislature of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova, constituted following the first democratic elections, the former Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova (SSRM) was transformed into the Republic of Moldova, and the Supreme Soviet became the first Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
