The First House program will be expanded
The First House program will be expanded. The Government announces its willingness to further support young pedagogues, doctors and policemen so that they could more easily obtain the living space through this program. In the context where, in the last period, some banks have reduced the loan repayment period from 25 to 7 years, the authorities say that they will have a meeting with their representatives, at which the best solutions would be identified.
Each month, the Organization for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises receives an average of 140 applications for guarantees for the purchase of housing: most are from young people.
For two years after the launch of the First House program, approximately 4,000 applications were submitted, of which 3,900 were approved. The average age of the beneficiaries is 31. The average price of the contracted apartments is 590,000 lei, and the average area - 60 square meters. Ninety percent of the living space is in cities, while only 10% in villages.
