Head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, Viorel Morari, suspended from office
The head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, Viorel Morari, was suspended from office in connection with the execution of a special control, carried out by the general prosecutor, Alexandr Stoianoglo, in the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office (PA) and the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS). The information was confirmed for the newspaper Ziarul de Garda (ZdG) by the head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, Viorel Morari.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office (PG), the control aims to verify and evaluate the activities of these two specialized units. According to ZdG sources, at this moment, about 20 special representatives of the General Prosecutor’s office are at the headquarters of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office.
