Social spot dedicated to victims of violence

A sister, mother, daughter, neighbor, or any woman around us may be a victim of domestic violence. In Moldova, 73% of women have suffered, during their lifetime, at least one form of domestic violence: psychological, physical, economic or sexual. The situation worsened especially during the state of emergency. In this context, the Center for Women's Rights (CDF), with the support of Sweden, launched a social spot, Moldova 1 reports.

The social spot is designed to raise public awareness about the seriousness of the phenomenon of domestic violence, to urge people close to the victims to support them, but also to encourage victims to seek help.

The spot promotes the urge not to endure violence in silence and  the victims can call for free to benefit from emotional support and legal counseling services at  0 800 80 000.

The social spot will be broadcast on TV stations, online, on social networks and on CDF platforms. This was done in the context of the international campaign "16 days of activism against gender-based violence", which takes place annually from November 25 to December 10.
