Statistics: One in four enterprises in the Republic of Moldova is facing a staff shortage

According to statistical data, one in four enterprises in the Republic of Moldova is facing staff shortage. Also in the private sector there is a lack of labor force, Vitalie Tarlev, state secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, said at the conference "Skills for jobs in Moldova", which takes place for two days in Chisinau, reports Radio Moldova.

"Natural resources are not a guarantee for the prosperity of a country, which is why I see this as an evolutionary perspective for the Republic of Moldova, because we have a lack of natural resources. However, we are lucky to have a young, talented and dedicated generation who can find opportunities to thrive and grow. But for this we need to invest more in our generation to adapt to this ever-changing world," Vitalie Tarlev told the state secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.

In the era of technological development, the provision of competitive human resources requires a complex approach, with the involvement of all key actors in the field.

"A special emphasis must be placed on education, only in this way we can have a competitive labor force, and with it a strong economy in the Republic of Moldova", stated the state secretary general at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Boris Gîlca.

At the same time, the official said that at the moment, the Republic of Moldova faces demographic problems related to the decrease of the birth rate, the decrease of the labor forces on the market, the migration.
