Batch of humanitarian aid from China arrives in Chisinau

A batch of humanitarian aid from the People's Republic of China has reached Chisinau today. It will be distributed to the medical institutions. Other medicines and equipment from China are due to arrive in Chisinau on April 15, Radio Moldova reports.

"This humanitarian aid includes protective equipment for medical staff. The batch will be distributed to public health-care institutions in Moldova depending on the number of patients”, said the Minister of Health, Viorica Dumbrăveanu.

For his part, President Igor Dodon said that this aid is an argument for the proverb that "a friend in need is a friend indeed ", exactly as it is written on humanitarian aid boxes.

"I want to thank our friends in China. This is already the second batch of support, it is about three tons of humanitarian aid, a gift from China, supplies needed by doctors in Moldova. Next week, we will  bring about 40-45 tons of consumables, medicines, tests, machinery ”, said the president Igor Dodon.

Attending the humanitarian aid ceremony, China's Ambassador to Chisinau, Zhang Yinghong, reiterated that the Chinese people are a devoted friend of the Moldovan people and hopes that the Republic of Moldova will overcome this situation soon.
