Doctor from Cimişlia dies of COVID-19
Another doctor died of COVID-19, today, August 9. It is about Maria Păpuşoi, aged 65, who works as a pediatrician / endoscopist at the Hospital of MSMPS and the Cimişlia District Hospital. According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, a total of 29 medical workers died of COVID-19 infection.
" MSMPS announces the passing away of Mrs. Maria Păpuşoi, aged 65, from Cimişlia district. We express our sincere condolences to the grieving family, relatives and colleagues. May God rest her in peace ", reads a press release of MSMPS.
MSMPS has also released information on other deaths caused by the new coronavirus.
A 68-year-old woman from Chisinau died, she suffered from hypertension, heart failure. The third victim is a 79-year-old man from Chisinau, who was hospitalized on July 24, at the Municipal Clinical Hospital no. 1. The man had liver and kidney failure, post-stroke sequelae. The fourth death was recorded in a 56-year-old man from Chisinau. He was hospitalized on July 14, at the Municipal Clinical Hospital no. 1. They had diabetes, mixed ischemic heart disease and high blood pressure.
To date, 845 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
