CEC: Over 4,000 people cast their right to vote. Where are the most active voters

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announces that the voting process in the 10 localities in the Republic of Moldova, where new local elections for mayor and local councilors are taking place, is developing normally.

As of 12:00, 4,037 voters have exercised their right to vote:

- Ghetlova commune, Orhei district - 576 voters (29.03%);

- Horodişte commune, Rezina district - 251 voters (25.59%);

- Glinjeni village, Falesti district - 628 voters (23.76%);

- Zăicani village, Rascani district - 512 voters (23.44%);

- Moara de Piatră village, Drochia district - 213 voters (20.02%);

- Hagimus village, Causeni district - 390 voters (18.11%);

- Tătăreşti village, Straseni district - 221 voters (17.84%);

- Bobeica commune, Hincesti district - 388 voters (16.13%);

- Zastânca village, Soroca district - 272 voters (14.06%);

- Lozova commune, Straseni district - 586 voters (10.69%);

We remind you that over 22 thousand voters are expected today at the polls in ten localities in the country, where new local elections are taking place. The mayor is to be elected in eight of them.

Polling stations will be open until 9:00 pm. Voting by mobile ballot box may be requested until 3:00 pm, if a medical certificate is presented.

The elections are being monitored by 59 national observers. Today, on the day of the election, electoral campaigning is strictly forbidden. Several Public Service Agency centers will operate today to issue temporary ID cards for free to eligible citizens.
