Jewish community in the United States provided emergency medical equipment

The National Center for Prehospital Urgent Care (CNAMUP) received several medical equipment from the Jewish community in the United States. The donation is worth over $ 384 thousand USD and aims to support doctors in the fight against the COVID 19 pandemic, Radio Moldova reports.

"The donation supports the priority needs of the health system, ensuring the protection of the medical staff from the front line. The equipment contains 199 thousand respirators, 72 thousand masks, 61 thousand gloves. This donation is a continuation of the generous support offered by the Jewish community from the beginning of the pandemic, when the Embassy of the State of Israel donated the first tranche of medical equipment ", said the director of CNAMUP, Boris Golovin.

During the event, the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Ion Prisacari, mentioned that the Republic of Moldova is entering a new wave of COVID-19, and the equipment is needed. "The pre-hospital care service is one of major importance in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, especially when a new wave is forecast. The virus variant is highly contagious and the availability of protective equipment gives us a chance for the medical system to meet the challenges, "said Ion Prisacari.

We remind that every day, the 239 emergency medical teams serve about 2,600 patients.
