Customs Service is to collect over half a million lei, following the controls carried out in a week

As a result of the controls performed between June 13 and 24, 2022, the Customs Service found the appearance of the additional customs obligation in the amount of 655,551 lei.

During the verifications, several violations of the customs legislation were found. Thus, it was established that, at the time of customs clearance, the exemption from customs duty was unfoundedly granted on the basis of the preferential origin of the goods. Another violation relates to the erroneous declaration of the year of production of the imported cars and the erroneous allocation of the excise quota at the time of import. At the same time, the use of means of transport intended for the transport of persons with disabilities by persons other than those authorized was detected.

As a result of the voluntary compliance of an economic agent, by submitting to the customs body the request for removal from customs supervision of goods (self-propelled trolley), imported with the benefit of tax and customs facilities, the corresponding import duties were recalculated.
