Good news for drivers. Gasoline and diesel continue to get cheaper

The National Agency for Energy Regulation has published the new ceiling prices for fuels for Friday, reports Moldova 1.

Thus, for a litre of gasoline tomorrow we will take out of our pockets 25,52 lei, with 0,21 lei less. And diesel will be sold for 0,20 lei less than today and will reach 25,55 lei.

TRM.MD recalls that, during the year, there was a wave of fuel price increases, with prices reaching a historic level in June. A litre of gasoline ended up costing almost 34 lei, and a litre of diesel almost 33 lei.

After a period in which the international stock markets reacted negatively to the Western plans to give up Russian crude oil from December 5 and from February 5 to derived oil products, the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) is currently witnessing a more pronounced drop in prices at the international level.

Contrary to previous forecasts, such as that European refineries will face a deficit due to the EU ban on Russian oil, there is currently a sufficient supply of crude oil. As Bloomberg notes, markets are heavily influenced by talks between Saudi Arabia and other OPEC members over a possible increase in oil production, as well as reports that China has tightened health restrictions, which could affect the outlook for demand for global crude oil.

Consequently, during the last 10 days or so, the Platts quotations dropped significantly, reaching below $900/ton for gasoline and below $1,000/ton for diesel.
