Another day of war in Ukraine. Heavy explosions shook the Ukrainian city of Nikolaev this morning. Authorities in Kyiv say at least 21 people, including two children and 39 people, were injured in yesterday's rocket attack on Sergheevca in the Odessa region, Moldova 1 reports.

Air alarms sounded throughout the Nikolaev region early in the morning, and thick smoke was visible in the distance. According to the Ukrainian television station "DOM", a total of 12 missiles were fired by Russian troops. The bloody attack came a day after Russia fired rockets into the Odessa region, including the town of Sergheevca. As a result, 21 people lost their lives. People talk in horror about what they see.

"Forgive me. I'm sorry about these people, the children. I lost my friends, their daughter was orphaned. Please forgive me. I'm very worried. It is good that my grandchildren and children left for the Republic of Moldova”.

"Everyone in the apartments probably died. I'm sorry about my neighbour who was very good and died in my arms. It's very scary. "

"The refrigerator and the cupboard fell on me. Kids, I barely managed to get them out, because it was a very small space. The girl ran outside. People helped me get up. I don't know what's in the apartment now, I didn't go inside. I fear".

"Lists were drawn up, checked and it was established that according to the information in the apartment building there were about 150-160 people. We are still working, the rescuers are checking the floor twice," said Marina Martienko.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the new US air defence weapons would significantly strengthen Ukraine's defence capabilities and said Kiev was negotiating the supply of additional weapons.

"I am especially grateful to the United States and personally to President Joe Biden for the new support package for Ukraine, which includes very powerful NASAMS systems. A complex of anti-aircraft missiles that will significantly strengthen our defence. We worked hard for this supply. In total, the package is worth $820 million and, in addition to NASAMS, includes artillery and radar ammunition," said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
