Russian men are leaving the country. Enormous queues at Russia's borders with Georgia, Mongolia or Kazakhstan

Huge queues of cars formed at almost all land customs of the Russian Federation. More and more Russian citizens want to leave the country, one day after Vladimir Putin decreed partial mobilization. At Russia's border with Finland, Finnish customs officers reported an "exceptional number" of Russians who crossed the border into Finland last night, reports The Moscow Times.

Thousands of Russian men of the age of incorporation were thus trying to leave the country since Wednesday evening, shortly after the announcement regarding the partial mobilization.

Tickets for direct flights to destinations in Armenia, Turkey and Azerbaijan - Russia's neighboring countries for which Russian citizens do not need a visa - sold out quickly. Thus, on Thursday, a "one-way" plane ticket to Yerevan ended up being sold for $2,621, while a one-way ticket to Dubai cost $2,784. "My brother is scared. We are trying to buy him a plane ticket urgently," a woman whose brother just finished his military training told the Moscow Times. "We hope they can cross the border without problems." Russian laws restrict free movement only when general mobilization is decreed. So far, the Kremlin has not taken any decision regarding the closing of the borders.

In the last 24 hours, 4,800 Russians crossed the border into Finland. Comparatively, last week, the number was 3,100 Russian citizens.

Huge queues of cars and agglomeration in customs were also registered at Russia's borders with Georgia, Mongolia or Kazakhstan.
