Residents of Odessa continue to walk on seashore though beaches are mined In Ukraine

Attacks on the southern front have intensified in recent days. More than ten missiles hit the Odessa region earlier this week. While the port is militarized, the beaches have become a dangerous recreation area for residents. The inhabitants of Odessa, who do not give up going to the seaside, the risk could cost them their lives because the beaches are mined, reports Moldova 1 TV.

Because of the Russian invasion, the Ukrainian army found no other solution but to mine the sandy beaches to defend the city against a Russian landing. All access areas from the sea have been secured to the maximum, and now the measures pose a danger to adventurers who do not take seriously the messages on the warning plates regarding the presence of mines, walking or fishing on the seaside.

" Well, they say they exist. Everywhere there are warnings, especially in places with sand. But the locals of Odessa are special people. A well-known humorist of ours said that the residents of Odesa will seek to sunbathe and bathe in their beloved Black Sea, no matter what the situation."

Although since the beginning of the summer season there have already been some tragic cases, when civilians would have stepped on mined surfaces, this does not scare the amateurs to bathe.

"It is true, the second case has already been registered in our region. But if you think about it, hundreds of people are dying on the roads today, and yet it is not illegal to drive. If it has to happen, it will happen. There is no way around. This risk is one of the unpleasant aspects of war."

] "The administration warns everyone, do not swim in the sea because it is mined, but some of the beaches are open, as is this for example. Some people get into the water from the beach, but I prefer to swim off the pier because I know it's very hard to mine it and I feel safer."  The beaches of Ukraine, which in the summer period were crowded with tourists from various countries, have now become a threat.
