The first meeting of the European Political Community platform starts today in Prague
More than 40 leaders from all over Europe are expected in Prague today for the first meeting of the European Political Community (EPC) platform, DPA reports. The new forum aims to improve cooperation between European countries beyond the borders of the EU and, apart from the members of the EU bloc, it also includes countries such as Great Britain, Turkey or the states of the Western Balkans and the Caucasus region.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmihal will be present at the meeting, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will enter via video link.
European leaders will discuss general economic challenges, as well as climate change, the energy crisis and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The discussions will be followed by bilateral meetings. The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will also participate in the event.
