War in Ukraine: Russian forces caused destruction in several localities in the Kharkiv region

Russia continues its war of aggression against Ukraine. Although the situation along the entire frontline had stabilised slightly in recent days, according to the Ukrainian General Staff, Russian forces have resumed large-scale attacks in several parts of Ukraine. The occupiers use heavy artillery, multiple rocket launchers, tanks and aviation. Volodymyr Zelenski requested China's support to end this war, informs Moldova 1.

In Donbas, the Russian army together with the separatist forces are using all the equipment at their disposal to advance in at least three directions, but without much success. Active fighting is taking place on the outskirts of Bahmut, where the Russians have also carried out airstrikes near Iakovlevka, Soledar and Kodema. The city itself is half empty. In danger, some people still do not want to abandon their homes.

"There are bombings every day. I don't know what to expect. It was hard, but now it's even worse. I have a home here, at least I'm not a homeless bushwalker, even if it's in ruins. If I leave, what will I have?".

In Nikolaev, explosions were heard again and the air raid alarm sounded, said the mayor of the city, Alexander Senkevici. In the direction of Seversk, the enemy fired artillery in the districts of Chernigov and the Sumy region. The Russians caused more destruction in a number of localities in the Kharkiv region using tanks, cannons and rocket launchers.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army reports that the Republic of Belarus is in the process of verifying the combat readiness of its armed forces and is strengthening its guard on several sectors of the common border. In the waters of the Black and Azov Seas, two Russian cruise missile ships are being prepared for the use of high-precision weapons.

Meanwhile, the Razoni ship with the 26 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn continued its way to Lebanon after being inspected by officials from several countries.

The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, categorised as "disgusting" the behaviour of the former German chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder, who stated that Russia wants a "negotiated solution" to the war and announced in an interview granted to a Hong Kong publication, that Ukraine is looking for a opportunity to speak directly with Chinese leader Xi Jinping to help end his war with Russia.

"It is a country with a large population and a strong economy. So it can influence Russia politically and economically. In addition, China is also a permanent member of the UN Security Council, an organisation that focuses on the principle of protecting world security."

The latest report shows that since the beginning of the large-scale Russian aggression, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed more than 41,500 invaders, 1,789 tanks and 946 artillery systems. At the same time, according to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, since the beginning of the Russian invasion, more than 5,300 civilians have died, and more than 7,000 others have been injured as a result of military actions.
