Ukraine has begun exporting electricity to the European Union
Ukraine has started to export electricity in a "significant" way to the European Union, through Romania, President Volodymyr Zelenski announced on Thursday, Radio Moldova reports.
The Kyiv leader said Ukraine was preparing to increase supplies, stressing that electricity in his country could replace a significant part of the Russian gas consumed by Europeans.
The Ukrainian electricity grid was connected to the European grid in mid-March.
