The US Ambassador: "We have no signals that the Republic of Moldova could be attacked by Russia"

The United States of America is closely monitoring the Russian-Ukrainian war, said the US ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Kent Doyle Logsdon. During a visit to Bălţi, on the occasion of the America Days, he mentioned that our country is not threatened by an attack from the Russians. At the same time, the ambassador assured that the USA will continue to inform the Republic of Moldova about any scenario, informs nordnews.md.

"As I mentioned before, when I was in Balti, we are following very carefully everything that is happening with the terrible war of Russia on the edge of the border with Ukraine. We have no signals that the Republic of Moldova would be a target of a Russian military attack. We follow this daily, we collaborate closely with our partners here to provide them with the information obtained. We are working on this topic and will continue to do so together," said Kent Doyle Logsdon.

Kent Doyle Logsdon believes that our country has every chance to develop, and the US will continue to support us in several areas.

"I believe that in 30 years, the Republic of Moldova will continue to develop. I am very optimistic about it. Through our collaboration, we noticed that the people of this country are very interested in building their country, in increasing democracy. We are happy that the US can participate in this process", added the American official.

We remind you that, on Saturday, the US Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova visited Bălţi, as part of America Days, which celebrates 30 years of Moldovan-American cooperation.

"We know that, anywhere in this world, peaceful protests can happen. After all, these protests are part of our society. When people face problems they want to solve, they can go out and talk about them. We will continue to provide support to support this right, but we want to do so in a legal and non-violent way. This is essential for us", concluded the US ambassador.
