Maia Sandu had a meeting, in Germany, with Olaf Scholz
Head of State Maia Sandu had a meeting in Germany with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The president announced this on Twitter.
"I am thankful for the support and vote of confidence offered by Germany in obtaining the status of a candidate country for the EU and for the support that helps us to face the consequences of the war against Ukraine. We discussed the ways of deepening relations on the energy, economic and security dimensions", declared Maia Sandu.
It should be mentioned that the head of state participated in the proceedings of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday and Wednesday. Upon returning home, Maia Sandu makes a short working visit to Berlin, where she will meet with Svenja Schulze, Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, members of the Bundestag and representatives of the business environment from this country.
