The Georgian official will be received by the deputy prime minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European integration Nicu Popescu and will have meetings with the president Maia Sandu, the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and the PM Natalia Gavriliţa.

"The discussions will focus on ways to strengthen cooperation with Georgia, the European integration agenda, the implementation of joint bilateral projects for the benefit of our citizens, as well as the evolution of the security situation in the region in the context of the unjustified war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine", reads the MAEIE press release.

Nicu Popescu and Ilia Darchiashvili will hold a joint press conference.

We remind you that the visit of the Georgian Foreign Minister comes one month after the visit of the Republic of Moldova by the President of Georgia Salome Zourabişvili.

In Chisinau, the president of Georgia declared that the common aspiration of Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine is to join the European Union.

The Republic of Moldova established diplomatic relations with Georgia in June 1992 and has signed 30 bilateral cooperation agreements in various fields.
