Military honors for the Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda in Chisinau (VIDEO)
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, welcomed today, May 14, at the Presidency with military honors the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauseda, who was on a two-day official visit to Chisinau. During the ceremony, the national anthem of Lithuania, "Tautiška giesmė", and that of the Republic of Moldova - "Our language" were sung.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the President's Office and members of the Lithuanian delegation accompanying the high guest.
The two heads of state had a private conversation, which will be followed by official talks with the participation of members of the two delegations, after which they will make statements for the press.
According to the agenda, during today, President Gitanas Nauseda will lay flowers at the monument of Saint Stephen the Great and Saint.
At the end of the visit, Presidents Maia Sandu and Gitanas Nauseda will plant a tree at the Botanical Garden in Chisinau.
We remind you that the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauseda, pays an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on May 13-14, at the invitation of President Maia Sandu. This is the first visit of a Lithuanian head of state to the Republic of Moldova in the last six years.
