Better conditions for preschool children in Cahul. After three decades in which no major repair work was done at the "Prichindel" Kindergarten, now a heating system has been installed, the roof of the building has been changed, and 12 sanitary blocks was renovated. With the support of the European Union (EU), the institution was also equipped with computers, reports Moldova 1.
"Prichindel" kindergarten is one of the largest preschool institutions in the municipality of Cahul. Now the little ones have modern educational conditions and new didactic materials.
"The heating system was changed and major repairs were made in 12 sanitary blocks. Digital technology was also purchased in each group: a laptop, six interactive whiteboards, two high-performance color printers and two loudspeakers", says the director of the kindergarten, Angela Bogu.
There are eight kindergartens in the municipality of Cahul, and the local authorities propose the modernization of all preschool institutions.
"We want all the kindergartens in Cahul to correspond in terms of energy efficiency, to be properly equipped with didactic materials", says the mayor of Cahul Nicolae Dandiş.
The project was carried out with the support of the European Union.
"The municipality of Cahul is one of the regions in which the European Union is involved through its assistance, and I noticed that things are moving forward. The kindergarten behind me is being repaired thanks to the European Union, and the institution was provided with didactic materials", said the EU ambassador, Janis Mazeiks.
The "Prichindel" kindergarten in the municipality of Cahul is attended by 370 children. The institution was repaired within the framework of the EU4Moldova "Key Regions" program, and the value of the project is eight million lei.
